A Bit About Me
Dr. Kuo is an early-career researcher focusing on tumor biology, cancer immunology and epigenetics. She obtained Ph.D. from National Cheng Kung University, where she studied tumor suppressor gene methylation in esophageal and lung cancers. After her doctoral work at various institutions, she participated in cancer research programs emphasizing the tumor microenvironment (TME).
Her findings highlighted the critical role of IL-6/STAT3/PD-1 in immune suppression and tumor progression. Currently, she is investigating cell regulation within the TME to identify immune resistance pathways in patients unresponsive to immunotherapy, aiming to enhance treatment options in precision oncology. Additionally, she is exploring novel transcription factors (TFs) in T cell subsets to further understand their roles in immune responses.
